The Welcoming Committee

These are our (Shane, Mike and Katie) family dogs, Savannah, Sophie and Titan. I think they deserve a special mention on this blog because they are a huge part of the rescue. Many of you may have met them when you came to adopt a dog.
These dogs are the welcoming committee to the strays, new dogs pass through their home weekly. They have been loved, attacked, run ragged in the field, kept up by howling hounds all night and exposed to illness after illness yet they still meet the new dogs with their tails wagging. (Or in Ben's case big kisses!)
Titan was adopted from an organization in southern NH in January 2005. He is usually our dog tester, he has a mellow personality but is not afraid to defend himself (or us) if he has to.
Savannah was rescued June of 2004 from a home where she had been tied outside because she was too big to stay in the house. Savannah was 45 pounds under weight, with the longest nails I have ever seen and DIRTY. She is usually a good playmate for any size dog, she can be very gentle with the little ones (Moby) and very playful with the bigger dogs (Boomer).
Sophie our first rescue dog from Hartford CT is a silly little pitty girl that has taught us so much about the breed and rescuing dogs. She LOVES to run in the field with the dogs and swimming in the pond.-Shane
