Rory

A letter from Rory's Dad.
On the way back from Lebanon we stopped at Quechee Gorge and walked a bit on the trails there. She was great! That afternoon she met her cousin Samson and my sister Kate, then had rave reviews at the vet (who estimated her age at 7 – 12 months). After that, she got to meet her cousins Jenga and Murdock, and my sister Kelly. Rory and Jenga were immediate best friends, probably in part because Jenga finally has someone her size to play with! They played “keep away” in the living room for a while be for Rory and I went to see her new home. She sniffed around a bit, and enjoyed the new toys, and was very comfortable from there on out!

Leo, my cat, is still not sure this big scary beast was such a good idea, but he’s keeping himself scarce while she’s out of her kennel lest he present a fun little target.

On Saturday she met my grandmother, and on Sunday several friends and their kids. She’s still a ball of energy, but for the most part knew to be more gentle around them.

Last night she got to meet the last of her new cousins, Jesse and Toby, along with my parents who had been away for the weekend. To date, everyone who has met her has been incredibly impressed with her. She has won the hearts of all.

Once her belly’s healed we have a 6 dog play date set up for this Saturday morning at my sister Kelly’s house where they have a huge field in which to run and play. All the people involved can’t wait, and the dogs will have a ball!

Just wanted to say thanks to NNEDR, Shane, Hallie, and Jared for rescuing Rory and allowing her to come home to Queensbury. Pictures to come as soon as I get them off the camera!

Dan
