Ruthie is now Ruby. How does a dog like Ruby wind up on death row without an adopter on her last day? In Hartford CT the dogs have a maximum of 10 days from the time they are brought into the pound to find an adopter. Sometimes people see the dogs online or go down to the pound and agree to adopt a dog. They put their name on the dog which means they have agreed to adopt it on it's tenth day. Sometimes a person that has agreed top adopt a dog does not show up on the tenth day. This is what happened to Ruby. We were at the pound picking up Jack and Ruby's time had run out so we brought her home with us too.
Ruby bonded quickly and deeply with her foster mom.
She was adopted by a woman from Southern NH and they are a perfect match. We could not have asked for a better home for this little girl, and we appreciate the updates and pictures! -Shane
