NNEDR Update

It has been awhile since we have had updates to post so I thought I would post a message about what is happening with the rescue. We are closing in on the final stages of our 501c3 which is very exciting. We have started to work with a group of college students from UVM on promoting and fundraising and we are trying to recruit more volunteers. So...

If you have thought about volunteering before but feel like you can not foster there are many other volunteer jobs to be done. From recruiting foster homes to checking references we need all the help we can get. Dogs are being surrendered and abandon in record numbers due to the economy and shelters and rescues are full. For every foster home we recruit that is another safe haven for a dog on death row, every application that is processed gets us that much closer to finding a forever home for a dog and clearing a space for one on death row. All of the volunteer jobs are important and in small pieces not that time consuming. If you want to get involved we would welcome the help.

We are looking for a couple of locations in VT that people could drop off donations. If anyone knows of a store, business or other location that would be willing to do this let me know.

At the end of April there will be a benefit in Burlington VT to raise money for the rescue. It will be at Nectars and it should be so much fun! Keep it in mind. We would love to see a lot of our friends and supporters there!
