Update from Sadie's Mom

Its been one year ago almost to the day since Sadie adopted our family.
She has come a long way in one year!
Her fur grew out to a beautiful tan with reddish and white undertones, long and shiny. Just a beautiful princess! She even has a tiara.
Sadie happily learns new tricks, and behaves better with every day.
She has mastered walking (and jogging) on a leash.
She is learning to heel, and mastered sitting, 'dancing' in circles, and is currently working on not barking at dogs walking their owners past our house while Sadie is outside with Mommy. She is also working on not jumping up on people for hugs.
Sadie has made friends with neighbor dogs and cats, loves sheep and butterflies. One of the horses at the farm down the road loves Sadie, but she's too afraid to get near the horse.
Sadie is fantastic with kids, crowds, other people, and is a great Mommy to our cat Stripes who has learned to begrudginly accept her smothering love. A real socializer, she loves to be the center of 'people attention' and can really put on a show.
She has grown very attached to 'her boys', a.k.a., our 19 year old twin sons.
Now that the boys have graduated high school, there is one person home almost 24/7, so Sadie gets lots of walkies and attention, which she just relishes.
We've always bragged that Sadie doesn't bark. That bragging stopped about a month ago, when Sadie suddenly discovered 'her voice'. Its really funny when she does bark, because its usually something that she feels is an injustice (someone moved her toys to vacuum around them) or she feels people have slept in too late on a Saturday, etc.
She's become our Drill Sargent, keeping everyone on schedule and in control.
She's had a coupla vet visits this year for routine work & shots. The first time the vet met her, he said we really lucked out and were adopted by a magnificent specimen of a dog.
We couldn't agree more.
There have been some challenges over the past year, and we are still working on behavioral issues, but they are few compared to when we were first adopted by Sadie.
Its been a wonderful year.
Thank You for allowing us to be part of Sadie's life.
