A few days later I took her up on it...
Now I am not positive, but I am pretty sure that Tucker was the first pit bull to grace her doorstep, and she fell in love. Brooke has taken countless drives in the middle of the night to Hartford, fostered, recruited fosters and bottle fed puppies. Brooke was there the night we picked up Bailey and her puppies and in the room crying with us when we let her go. She has been the voice of reason SO many times when I was thinking clearly. Brooke made an amazing commitment to Ruby and ended up fostering her for 18 months until she was cancer free, stuck by Tucker through heartworm. We have been through so much (happy and sad) with the dogs, the rescue and as friends. From Viszla wrestling, and driving with Maggie home while she was in labor, snow storms and late nights and while we all sometimes say we are done (usually after something like your own dog being visciously attacked or putting to sleep a dog you love with all your heart) Brooke always came back and stepped up to do what needed to be done.
So Thank You Brooke & Willy. For your contribution to the rescue, the difference you made to the dogs, and for you friendship. We will all miss you so much. We wish you the best of everything, always.
Tucker, Ruby, Piper, Wyatt, Ellie, Sydney, Bailey & her babies (especially George)
