Potter and MacGregor were found hopping down the bunny trail, or up Main Street depending on your perspective. He hopped right into the waiting hands of a police officer and was placed in a cat rescue for safe keeping while they tried to locate an owner. Sadly none surfaced and the bunny boys were transferred to a dog rescue. After a couple of escapes, spending a day in the vegetable garden and one terrifying game of Rottweiler chase the bunnies were adopted. Potter was very lucky to go to an extremely knowledgeable rabbit home where he has a lot of freedom and a very cute sister. Here is an update from Potter's new Mom:
Potter is doing well and continues to amuse us. He loves to chew and dig (two things Bella never did because of her age). He's very active and enjoys getting out at night to jig and run. The bonding process did not go very smoothly. Bella became was aggressive from the beginning and although Potter (and we) gave it our best shot - it just didn't seem to be working. We're still continuing to work with them and have not lost hope, but for now- they're living harmonious lives separately. Potter spends his evenings/nights out and about while Bella spends her mornings and afternoons out. Bella lies beside his cage every day, but is not happy when he's out. (Bella is quite a character so who knows!)
Potter is quite a snuggle bug. He loves his Mommy. He likes to be held much like a baby with his head on my shoulder and body along my chest. We just adore him.
I've attached three recent pictures.
All best,
Melissa
