CONNOR now Cerebus:
Sorry we couldn't make it today. We couldn't have asked for a better dog. He loves all our children and is great with them even the newborn, he even is sweet with our ferrets which are a new addition. He's amazing and we love him very much. We will send pictures soon. Thank you so much!
SARAH:
I cannot believe that it will soon be 6 months since we adopted Sarah. She fit into our family from day one. I have to admit, she is definitely a Mama's girl, and I secretly love the preferential treatment! She loves our cat, and they even play together, although it took the cat 3 months to come out of the basement after Sarah arrived. She also now has an older brother, a 7 year old Boxer. There is absolutely no doubt who is the boss, even though the Boxer outweighs her by 40 pounds. Sarah must have some herding instinct, too, because she bites his ankles! Or maybe that's as far as she can reach! Sarah travels well, doesn't take up much room on the bed, and greets us like long-lost family when we get up in the mornings and when we return from work. She doesn't like rainy days, or cold weather, and insists that if she must go out to do her business, then someone needs to be out there with her to suffer also! I joke with my husband that only in Vermont will you find a grown woman, in a long fluffy white bathrobe, out in the rain holding the umbrella over the dog so the dog doesn't get wet while the woman gets soaked. Ah, the things we do for love!
THATCHER now LOUIS:
We are a household of 3 cats (one can't seem to except him....they just co-exist around here) 2 dog's and an Iguana, it's crazy at times. Louis is a lucky boy, he get to go to work everyday with Dad, and has loved every minute he's gone. I'll never forget the day I took him to my husbands jobsite. I showed up with him and said "honey, meet our new son". My husband said "can he swing a hammer". Louis stayed at the jobsite that day and has gone to many since.
Over the spring/summer Louis learned to swim. Our other dog (Akasha) we believe is part otter, just jumped of the front of the boat and Louis followed. My husband Paul had to go in after him as he panicked and began to sink. On went the life jacket and Louis swam with it for about 1 month and now has graduated to swimming without it and has also developed a bit of otter blood too.
At least 4 days a week after a long day "on the job" with Paul and every weekend the dogs enjoyed their time on Mascoma Lake, swimming, fishing or just sleeping (see photo) on the boat.
He's very good with sit, come, letdown, go get it, where's your ball and know what a "treat' is. He has his place in the living room which is on the couch, shares our bed with Akasha, Paul and I. Not a lot of room left to move.
Thank You NNEDR for the perfect gift of love.
Jennifer, Paul & Ciara
